Call for Papers – Special Issue: Cultural Heritage and Childhoods

Sophia Austral invites researchers, educators, and professionals in the fields of heritage, education, and social work to submit abstracts for the upcoming special issue “Cultural Heritage and Childhoods. Research, experiences, and participation.”

This issue seeks to highlight original contributions that explore the active role of children and adolescents in cultural heritage processes—from innovative educational practices to community engagement and social inclusion—through interdisciplinary approaches.

Abstracts (up to 2000 words) must include:

  1. Study justification

  2. Context description

  3. Relevance and contribution

  4. Theoretical/conceptual framework

  5. Study type and data sources

  6. Preliminary results

Submissions with accepted abstracts will be invited to submit a full manuscript (max. 7500 words) through the OJS platform of Sophia Austral. All articles will undergo a two-step peer review process, including blind review.
