Abstract
Violence against women in the health sector is related to the establishment and reproduction of hegemonic health models that infantilize, stigmatize and disavow women and their ancestral-traditional knowledge, establishing asymmetric power relationships in the clinical context. The aim of this article is to analyze the elements that influence the relationship between professionals in the area of matronería and obstetrics, with its users. The results show that aspects such as gender and sex, age, culture and professional training are determining factors in the relations between the user public and the professional team.
